ADHERE + DENY  |  ORESTEIA TRIO

Adhere And Deny presented ORESTEIA TRIO, an adaptation of Aeschylus’ Oresteian Trilogy, from March 19th to March 29th, 2008.

What is Law? And what is Justice. Are Law and Justice the same? If they are then there was no reason to end the age old blood for blood revenge of kings and gods. Aeschylus believed Law and Justice were not one and the same. Law was tough and black and white, but life exists in a variety of grays. The Law needed to be tempered by Justice. But in our modern society advocates for a return to the cold facts of law and order, perhaps the idolators of Law, howl at what they perceive as a perversion of Justice. History has shown us that Law can be easily turned into a tool of revenge, an exactor of retribution in the name of Justice - blood for blood in disguise.

ORESTIA TRIO was directed by Grant Guy and featured Graham Ashmore, Carolyn Gray, Elyse Hartman and Vanessa Rigaux. Audio Design by Susan Chafe.
